K-tip is the only extension method we do at Wow Hair Miami. Every strand is placed by hand and matched to your shade, so the result moves and feels like your own hair.
What is a K-tip extension?
Each strand of hair ends in a small keratin tip. Your stylist warms the tip with a professional tool and shapes it around a small section of your natural hair, creating a flat, secure bond. No tape, no glue strips and no metal rings.
Because every strand is attached on its own, K-tips move with your hair. You can wear a ponytail, part your hair anywhere and style it with heat as usual.
Three capsule sizes, one price
K-tip capsules come in different sizes. We choose the size by your hair, never by budget, because all three cost the same.
- Micro capsule, 0.3 to 0.4g per strand: for fine or thin hair
- Standard capsule, 1g per strand: the classic choice for most hair types
- Nano capsule, the smallest: virtually invisible at the root
How long K-tips last
Installation takes 2 to 4 hours, depending on how many strands you need. As your natural hair grows, the bonds move away from the root, so you come back for a correction every 2.5 to 3 months.
At a correction we remove the strands, put new keratin tips on the same hair and install it again close to the root. With regular corrections one set of Slavic and European hair lasts 12 to 18 months.
